NmbSweepsInClass2dColor Display Plug-In

Mr Kick Home

This display plug-in shows how many sweeps are included in each class. You can overview a high number of classes in two dimensions. If you only use classification in one dimension it has very little to offer. Each class is colored to make it easier to spot those with few or many included sweeps.

NmbSweepsInClass2dColor Normal ViewThe data set represented here consists of 100 sweeps, divided into 4x5=20 classes.
Three sweeps are excluded, leaving a total of 97 sweeps included, as can be seen in the lower right corner of the table.

In normal view main classes are distributed over rows: main class 0 (zero) in the top row, class 1 in the second row, etc.. Equivalently sub classes are distributed over coloumns in the table: sub class 0 (zero) in the left most column.

The number of sweeps included in a main (sub) class, summed over all sub (main) classes, is available in the Sum column to the right (row at the bottom).

NmbSweepsInClass2dColor Main/Sub swappedYou can swap sub classes into rows and main classes into columns, if you find this more convenient: Click the Swap Main / Sub button.

Color Coding

The table cells representing classes are colored according to the number of included sweeps:

  • The class cell(s) with the most included sweeps are bright green, eg. class 2.2 above.
  • The class cell(s) with the least included sweeps (ignoring classes with no sweeps included) are clear blue, eg. class 0.1 and 3.3 above.
  • Class cells with in-between numbers of sweeps are colored in-between colors, eg. class 1.3 and 2.4 above.
  • If there are one or more classes with at least two sweeps and one or more classes with at least one sweep, then classes with no (zero) sweeps included are colored pale red as in class 0.0 above.
