Mr Kick Home

What's New

  • Version 1.15 and above are pre-releases of version 2 and should be regarded as test releases! - Versions 1.3 through 1.4x have nevertheless been used intensively for data acquisition without any reports of severe malfunction.
  • Version 1.70 and above is based on the NI-DAQmx driver (version 7+), whereas former versions were based on Traditional NI-DAQ. The NI-DAQmx driver supports M- (and S-) series boards, ie. so does Mr. Kick as of vs 1.7 :-)
  • Requires Windows 2000/XP (or above).

Warning: Using Analog Output in the mx-based Mr Kick II with a PCI-6024E board may malfunction: The analog output may not end at the set offset! - Eg. if used to control the stimulation amplitude of an electrical stimulator this can cause severe stimulations!!!

Version 1.70

  • Compiled with LabVIEW 7.1 and based on NI-DAQmx 7.4 - basic functionality tested and found functional. (050628)
  • Numerous minor inconsistencies corrected. (1.70a/050913)

  • A few cosmetic updates. (1.71b/051118)

Note: Loading files with settings for the old controller may cause invalid settings for the new controller!
  • Version no. added one digit (1.810/070521),
eg. the former 1.80b would now display 1.802
  • Display up to 16 channels, depending on window size (1.810/070521)
  • Auto update Superimpose 1 File (1.811/070521; preliminary!)
If more than one window is open, any one or all of them may update
