What's New

  • Version 1.15 and above are pre-releases of version 2 and should be regarded as test releases! - As of version 1.3 it has nevertheless been used intensively for data acquisition without any reports of severe malfunction.

Version 1.15

  • Superimposed View can display average (mean) +/- 1 SD. (011220)

Version 1.16

  • The Superimposed View window can be saved to an image file, PNG format. (020403)
  • Cursor position read-out resolution changes with position: 10us within ±1s, 10ms within ±1000s. Read-out is in SI units. (020404)
  • The Y-axis of data graphs is scaled in SI units (instead of engineering units). (020404)

Version 1.17

  • Split files into classes. New File - Save Special submenu contain Save Average As and Split File into Classes. The latter saves each class of the loaded file into a seperate file. (020409)
  • Gain or Sensitivity control in Analog input settings: Label now follows gain/sensitivity switch position. (020423)
  • Continous Pulse Burst Train module in Action menu. (1.17a/020506)
  • Reclassification of manually or non-classified files. So far only auto through simple rule. (1.17b/020514; bugfix 1.17c/020604)
  • Relative time of acquisition displayed in data display (lower right) for each sweep in analysis mode. (1.17b/020514)

  • MagStim Rapid2 Remote Control Monitor stops data acquisition if the stimulator returns error (preliminary! - 1.42a/050323)
  • Improved AO Offset setup (1.42c/050518, buggy! - fixed in 1.42d/050617). Still, don't TAB between parameters inside the First/Second AO Channel frames!
  • In the Analog Output setup, if you had unsaved data, the dialog would earlier be read-only (ie no changes could be made). To overcome this annoyance you'll now be asked whether to Save or Delete before the dialog opens. In case you neither want to Save nor Delete, then press Save and Cancel the Save dialog - your data will be retained and the AO SetUp dialog will open in read-only mode. (1.42c/050518)
  • Cont. Pulse Burst Train has been extended: Every N pulse bursts can now be accompanied by a single stimulus. Pulse bursts are given from AO ch 1, singles are given from AO ch 0. (1.42e/050622)

Bugs and fixes

  • Excel, Analysis results export split over three lines. Fixed in vs. 1.17 as of 020423.
  • If classification was off, it could not be changed to anything else than Manual in vs 1.17b/020514; Fixed in 1.17c/020604.
  • Zoom coherence and transfer function seems not always to work at first use. (1.20a/not fixed)
  • SuperImposed View Add All feature stalled when incl. were changed on first sweep.
  • [Z]-scaling of y-axis (auto-scaling incl zero) didn't work since vs 1.15; fixed 1.30d/040625.
  • Open and Change - use of an external device could result in erroneous settings in the destination file; fixed 1.30e/040712.
  • Save Image in SuperImposed View didn't work since 1.30c; fixed 1.40/040805.
  • Measuring offset on AI chans (as of 1.40) made Mr Kick NI-DAQ dependent; fixed 1.40a/040809.
  • After opening a file via Open and Change, Add All did not work in SuperImposed View module; fixed 1.40b/040820.
  • One report: Unable to load Coherence module. Can't be reproduced by programmer; not fixed.
  • Multiple instances of SuperImposed View were linked via plot info list. Since 1.30c; fixed 1.40d/040914.
  • AI channel overview messed up if channels were not consequtive; fixed 1.42/050124.
  • AO Offset output not updated during set-up; fixed 1.42b/050502.
  • AO Offset output one step behind when using digital control and very jumpy when sensitivity different from 1; since 1.42c; fixed 1.42d/050617.
  • In Analog Output settings, if TAB'ing between parameters inside the First/Second AO Channel frames changes are not recognized! - Not fixed and no fix planned at the present.

Behind the scenes

Several attempts on upgrading Mr. Kick to compile with LabVIEW vs 6.0.2 failed. These problems seems to be overcome after compilation with LabVIEW vs 6.1.
